I’ve written and spoken about Pennsylvania’s budget many times. We know the issues; there is never enough money regardless of how much revenue is generated and Pennsylvania’s spending perpetually outpaces the economy of our state.

Dawn Keefer (R-York/Cumberland) has teamed up with state officials and local law enforcement to host Scam Jam, an educational seminar that presents information about scams and how to prevent becoming a victim in a fun, easy-to-understand manner. The event will be held at the Fairview Township Office, located at 599 Lewisberry Road, New Cumberland, on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 2-4 p.m.

Keefer to Unveil Bill to Combat Encouraging Suicide

WHAT: Rep. Dawn Keefer (R-York/Cumberland) will discuss her bill called Shawn’s Law in honor of Shawn Shatto, who killed herself after she received a step-by-step guide on how to commit suicide from an online chat forum. Keefer’s bill would increase criminal penalties on those who encourage another person to commit suicide.

Keefer Announces Speaker for Farmers’ Breakfast

DILLSBURG –Rep. Dawn Keefer’s (R-Dillsburg) today announced the speaker for her free annual Farmer’s Breakfast. The speaker will be Jennifer Reed-Harry, an assistant vice president at PennAg Industries Association. She will speak about water issues the agricultural industry is facing.
