Keefer to Hold Damaged License Plate Replacement Event
5/20/2022
DILLSBURG – Rep. Dawn Keefer (R-Dillsburg) is teaming up with the Northern York County Regional Police Department to help constituents with free replacement of license plates that have become difficult to read.

“We are working to make the license plate replacement process as quick and easy as possible for drivers,” Keefer said. “This event will give residents the option to get new, legible license plates replaced without even having to get out of their cars.”

The free damaged license plate replacement event will be held on Thursday, June 2, from 4 - 6:30 p.m. at The Warehouse/Mountain Ridge Regional Church, 32 Big Dam Road, Dillsburg

An officer from the Northern York County Regional Police Department will be checking the plates and determining the need for replacement.

Drivers must bring along their unexpired Pennsylvania driver’s license and current vehicle registration card. This event is only for those with standard or personalized plates. Specialty plates such as those for veterans, PA zoos, college alumni, etc. cannot be processed at this event. If you have a specialty plate with damage, you’ll need to work directly with PennDOT on a replacement.

A registration plate is deemed illegible when one or more numbers or letters cannot be recognized from 50 feet or if the registration plate shows any blistering, peeling, discoloration or loss of reflectivity.

Drivers must register to attend in advance. To register, go to repkeefer.com/events and fill out the form. For additional information, call 717-432-0792.
